Unfortunately, in 2019 the dam on Lake Dunlap failed, causing a dramatic drop in the water levels and the lake to essentially disappear. Efforts are currently underway to repair the dam and restore the lake to its former glory, but it has still been a devastating blow to the community and the local economy.
Despite this setback, Lake Dunlap remains a beloved destination for outdoor recreation and relaxation, and it continues to draw visitors who seek out its natural beauty and the many activities it has to offer.
